Cardamom Tea Bread
taught by Bonnie Sparrman
In this delicious baking class Bonnie will teach participants how to make traditional sweet cardamom dough. While preparing the dough she will talk about some of the main ingredients in the Swedish breadbaker's pantry including cardamom, almonds and cinnamon. Using the basic sweet cardamom dough Bonnie will create three different baked goods: Traditional Swedish Cardamom Tea Ring, Cinnamon Rolls (beautiful little knots, not at all like American Sweet Rolls), and Almond-filled Braided Loaf. We'll put on the tea and coffee. Yum!

Whatever your dreams are, it's never too late to go after them! This class will introduce you to the dynamic ideas that Marybeth has been teaching for the past decade. Based on the premise that human beings are always striving to become more, these strategies can help you move from weakness to strengths in your thinking and behavior. As you learn to change your thinking, you will become more open to possibilities and more capable of acting on them. The class will also include several relaxing imagery exercises. You will come away with tools for change that will last a lifetime.

You can eat well on a busy day - it just takes stocking your kitchen with some mix and match foods, a few new ideas and some planning. We'll prepare and sample a Breakfast Parfait, Lunchtime Vegetable Wrap and Simple Supper Quesadillas. Come hungry!

Chicken often gets a bad rap as a boring food. It isn't! To explore the versatility of chicken dishes in everyday dining, try these exotic dishes from Bengal that will have everyone asking for seconds. Come on, indulge, and savor: Chicken Chaat (spicy chicken salad), Kobiraji Cutlet (delicious spiced chicken appetizer), Chicken Tikka Masala (tandoori chicken in delicately spiced sauce), Posti Murgi (chicken baked with poppy seeds and aromatic spices), and Malai Chicken (sweet and sour chicken with coconut milk and cream). Each of these entrees will jazz up the 'boring chicken' into delicious everyday family meal. Enjoy!

Making Your Own Natural Cleaning Products

Why make your own natural cleaning products? 1) They're good for the earth, 2) They're less expensive, and 3) You'll know exactly what's in your cleaning products. After attending this class you'll be able to make cleaning products for every aspect of routine cleaning in your home. These are the same product recipes used by Aveena Natural Cleaning Services. They are safe, effective, and even edible (although not too tasty, if truth be known).

Is There A Vegetarian in the House?

Your teenage son has decided to stop eating meat. Your partner just gave up red meat, fish and cheese. Or maybe you're just interested in exploring meatless options occasionally but you're not comfortable that you'll get enough protein. Whatever your reasons, come to this fun and informative class where we'll talk about vegetarian nutrition, answer questions, and taste some great food including Savory Butternut and Black Bean Burritos, Veggie Chop Suey, Teriyaki Tofu, Classic Italian Pasta with Cannellini Beans and a homey Apple Apricot crumble for dessert. Burritos have cheese, all other recipes are prepared without dairy or eggs.
