One-Pot Wonders

You don't need multiple pots to create a stunning meal when you can throw everything into one pot and let it cook to a sumptuous delight. Join Debjani to sample and learn about her favorite one-pot meals including the delectable Navaratna-Korma (nine vegetables cooked with spices in yogurt sauce), Chow-Mein (exotic vegetable-noodle dish from the Orient), Chicken-Biriyani (rice dish simmered to perfection with spiced chicken), and Sewai-Payesh (aromatic vermicelli cooked in sweetened milk) - Bengal's traditional dessert. We're off again on travels with Chef Paige - this time to France. Paige will use the best seasonal produce to cook up a menu that includes Asparagus & Gruyere Tart; Salad of Warm New Potatoes with Camembert & Bacon; Seared Salmon with Asparagus, Peas & Herbs. Another class you won't want to miss! $18 per person, $15 for co-op members & seniors.

Quick & Healthy 30-Minute Meals
taught by Hilary Kass, Nutrition Educator
Yes, it is possible to eat a healthy dinner when you don't have much time. In this class Hilary will demonstrate three meals that you can put together in 30 minutes - start to finish. She'll use fresh and frozen items to make tasty vegetarian dishes with select deli meats added optionally. Come hungry so you you can taste all three! $15 per person, $13 for co-op members & seniors.

From The Garden To Our Table

This class will be a celebration of fresh, locally grown vegetables. Enjoy the taste of spring in Kansas. We'll start with an appetizer of Chived Chevre Cheese followed by Fresh Spinach & Feta Topping served alongside homemade Rosemary Focaccia, hot from the oven. We'll enjoy locally made Central Soyfood Tofu in a delicious stir-fry of Mizuna with Minced Tofu served with Basmati Rice. And, of course, we'll end the evening with a Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp. $15 per person, $13 for co-op members & seniors.

Fish Cooking Basics
taught by Chef Paige Vandegrift
If you'd like to include more heart healthy fish in your diet come to this class with Chef Paige where you'll build your knowledge, skills and confidence. Paige will prepare (and you'll sample) Salmon Baked with Herb-Anchovy Butter; Bass in Parchment with Tomatoes, Olive & Orange; Grilled Prosciutto-wrapped Scallops with Rosemary; Halibut Poached with Fennel; and Trout with Browned Butter and Almonds.
